The Waterfall Healing Walk on April 13th has unfortunately been canceled. Stay tuned for more about the September 14th event!

This unique experience will be facilitated by two eminently qualified professionals:

Tom Kopp is the Waterfall Wellness Coordinator for Waterfall Keepers of NC and has 31 years on the faculty of Miami (Ohio) University. He has done extensive study and writing in the fields of Motivational Psychology and Expeditionary Learning (learning by doing), and has a PhD in Education. He will draw on this impressive background during an experiential walk to one of our local waterfalls where we will explore the healing properties these natural wonders offer!

Rebecca Caldwell is a writer and educator who serves as the adult & continuing education programs manager at The North Carolina Arboretum. She has taught literature and writing at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Clemson University and Western Carolina University. She is also trained as a counselor specializing in expressive arts therapy and ecopsychology. She maintained both a private practice and work in community and emergency mental health settings for over 12 years. She makes it her practice to be alert to spirit-lifting, joy-filled moments when walking in nature. She will help us answer the question, “What better to inspire awe and wonder than a waterfall?”
