Waterfall Keepers of North Carolina is proud to maintain a section of North Carolina’s Forest Heritage Scenic Byway under the Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway program. Our section of roadway is a delightful walk for waterfaller lovers, with a waterfall at each end and trailheads for several others in between.

We pick up trash along the roadway four times a year, typically in February, May, August, and November. Want to help?

Our next cleanup day is May 22, 2021. We already have a full crew, but we hope to see for the next one in August.

May 22 cleanup is full!

We’ve adopted a 2.3-mile section of NC 215 that begins at Sunburst Falls (pictured in the banner image) and ends at Bubbling Spring Branch Cascades. Along the way, the highway crosses West Fork Pigeon River on Triple Arch Bridge (pictured here). Several other waterfalls are accessed along this section.
