I’m a native of Washington, DC. After several relocations, including a 10-year stint in West Africa, I returned to the United States in 2013. Since my return, I’ve made health and self-care a priority. This has led to engaging in many outdoor activities, including chasing waterfalls. I’m a Ch8se Champion with Ch8sing Waterfalls, helping to lead monthly waterfall hikes. We’re changing the narrative about people of color in the outdoors and encouraging Black women to embrace the healing and rejuvenating powers of waterfalls. Personally, I want to do all I can to make outdoor spaces more diverse, inclusive, accessible and welcoming for all to recreate.
